DAY 33 – Saturday – So The Snow Has Arrived ….

Well it all started out quite normal on Saturday and I was quite pleased with myself as my weight had gone down a little more although I did go out for lunch with friends and it’s pizza tonight for dinner so it may well change tomorrow.

Didn’t have a massive lunch because I felt a little queasy so just stuck to some lovely home made soup, bread and butter and refrained from wine because I wasn’t feeling so hot.  and as it happened it was a flippin good job I didn’t have that glass of wine!

I was also well aware that the snow had started coming down, it wasn’t settling but I had two major factors working against me, one I had a 40 minute journey back home to Harrogate with the majority out in the open on the moors and secondly I was in the Porsche!

I decided to cut the lunch short and get home, better to be safe than sorry I thought.  I’d had a catch up for a couple of hours with my friends so it had been lovely but let’s get on our way now before the snow starts settling.

All seemed ok, the roads were clear and off I toddled leaving Skipton heading for Harrogate.  As I got out into the more open areas it was a little bleak but still the snow wasn’t settling – or so I thought!!  And then right out of the blue it happened the back end of the Porsche swung out and hurtled me round sliding the car across the other side of the road, I tried like mad to straighten up but of course totally over steered as the car was so light on the fresh dusting of snow, I tried to correct the steering again as I headed towards the curb on my side of the road and then again back to the other side until I did a superb Jeremy Clarkson style 360 degrees, round once, round twice and round again until I finally stopped.  OMG what just happened, I wasn’t speeding, the snow wasn’t bad just fresh I guess.

The poor car that was following me had slowed down to watch the spectacular ahead and as I set off again I flagged them past.  How did I manage to get control of the car and hit nothing – how the hell did I do that, how lucky was I,  how would I have explained a damanged car to David!

Needless to say the remainder of the journey was a nightmare, I was so frightened I drove 10-15 miles per hour and no faster, I was so worried about the back end sliding out and taking over again I didn’t care if I held up all the traffic – mmmm – low profile tyres I guess!

So if you were on the A59 travelling from Skipton to Harrogate between 3 and 4 oclock in a huge traffic jam cursing and swearing at a female in a Porsche then I apologise totally but after what had just happened to me, there was no way I was going to go any faster and run the risk of a second spin.

STATS –Saturday Morning

• Weight = 9 stone 3 1/2  – still going down – fantastic
• Measurements = 3 cm so far
• Breakfast = Lovely warm cappuccino Formula 1 protein shake
• Lunch = Broccoli soup with bread and butter
• Supplements taken = Formula 2 Multivitamin & Mineral Complex | Herbalifeline | XtraCal
• Drinks = 2 litres a combination of: Thermojetics Instant
  Herbal Beverage | Herbal Aloe Concentrate or plain hot water
• Alcohol Friday Evening = three glasses of white wine
• Evening Meal Friday – Sweet Chilli Chicken on noodles with veg.
