Day 6 –  Sunday – Another Busy Day.

Sunday morning and another really busy day ahead, still got loads of stuff to do round the house like, washing floors, washing clothes, ironing school uniform, making up another two rooms for the other guests who are arriving today and somewhere in between all this, I need to go to the supermarket as well as clear out a massive cupboard in the kitchen so I can get all those boxed Christmas decorations back into it and out of the way for another 12 months but it’s proving really hard to do anything at all at the moment because the tips of my fingers really, really hurt where my blasted nails broke – ah poor me!!!  What on
earth is wrong with my nails?

Have A Busy Day As Often As You Can When You’re Trying To Lose Weight – Why?

Well, having a busy day is great for many reasons and although I am a great believer in taking time out to relax over the weekend, if you are trying to lose weight having a busy day or several busy days is a great way of keeping yourself occupied, not thinking of food and more to the point burning off extra calories.

Extra Energy Is What You Need To Cope With A Busy Day

If you’ve been following my blog you’ll remember that on Day 2 I  mentioned about how my energy levels had improved within a matter of days of restarting my Herbalife programme and how I was finding that I was much more into doing jobs around the house and keeping busy.

Well this weekend reminded me yet again of how my energy levels had increased.  I’d not only had one busy day on Saturday but Sunday had turned out to be a very busy day too and that awful cupboard in the kitchen had been a job that I had been threatening to do since the beginning of December, in fact I promised myself that if I did nothing else I would do this during the Christmas/New Year break and did I – no of course not, I just didn’t have the energy!  Yet this weekend when I had so many other things to do during my busy day I still found the time and more importantly the energy to clear it out, clean it up and get it all sorted.

So on to today’s weigh in, well I’m all prepared for a huge gain now because last night wasn’t a good night either and that means that I’ve had a few naughty nights on the trot which isn’t really what you want when you are trying to lose weight but as I’ve said before, I am trying to keep it real, telling you exactly as it is – warts and all and this is just what happens in my life on a weekend as I’m sure it does to many other people too!

The huge difference between those who achieve success with their weight loss and those who don’t is that even though they may have put a little something on over the weekend they don’t give up, they go straight back onto their plan on Monday and start all over again.    And I’m no exception,  I’ll be back on the ‘shake wagon’ big time tomorrow and so by next weekend will have lost more weight once again

So here goes … today’s weigh in!

STATS – Sunday morning

  • Weight = 9 stone 11 1/2 lbs (another 1/4 lb gain – flippin heck
    and we’ve still got all Sunday to live through yet – oh well better go and have a bacon sandwich then to cheer myself up – ha ha only kidding!)
  • Measurements = –
  • Breakfast = Well sort of kidding, bacon sandwich late morning for everyone else in the house but not me!  I had a meall replacement bar to ensure that I was full and then treated myself to a little bit of grilled lean bacon (protein) with no bread and it was delicious and filling!  I was able to restrain from the bacon butty because I’d had the meal bar which had filled me up and enabled me to make a sensible food choice.
  • Lunch = nothing as still full from the late breakfast and tonight dinner will be early tonight.
  • Supplements taken = Forgot to take them again as they are still in my office buried in one of the boxes.  Missing two days of the supplements is a huge setback for me, I really should have set the time aside to go and hunt them out.
  • Alcohol Saturday night = 3 glasses of red wine! Was only being
    polite as we had a guest staying with us and he bought the wine to go with
    dinner – so it would have been rude not to drink it, wouldn’t it!  LOL!
  • Evening Meal Saturday night – chilli, rice followed by a few cheese and biscuits. Not ideal but the cheese needed eating up.
