Burdock and nettle are two lesser-known herbs that can help give your metabolism a little boost.  Burdoch also acts as a blood purifier and can help reduce cravings and tamper hunger.  Nettle is actually very nutritious and has a positive effect on weight loss that is really still kind of a mystery although scientists believe it helps to feed the cells thus causing the body to be more nutritionally satisfied.

Spicy foods like mustard and hot pepper sauce can help raise your metabolism too.  In fact, studies showed that eating these foods with your meals can boost your metabolism by 25%.  So, if you like spicy foods you may be able to help your weight loss along by adding more spices to more meals.

Adding these herbs and spices to your daily eating regimen will not only help improve metabolism but many of them have other health benefits as well.  They are loaded in nutrients, vitamins and minerals and have powerful healing properties.  Plus, a lot of them just simply taste good so incorporating them into your meals should be a delicious way to help you lose more weight.
